Speech on Blended Pedagogy/IPP Module/Online Assignment to the student/College Speech

A Chinese philosopher Confucius once said, “If your plan is for one year, plant rice; if your plan is for ten years, plant trees; if your plan is for one hundred years, educate children.”

With due respect, honorable Principal …..,

+2 coordinator,

subject coordinators,

and respected colleagues of ABD College,

I extend my effusive greetings to you all. I Arjun Babu Dauliya, the representative of the English Department, feel incredibly pleased to share our plan in regard to blended pedagogy. As we all acknowledge the motto of living for others and leading for Nepal. Teachers inculcate the latest teaching approach, methods, and techniques. Just a couple of months ago, we got the opportunity to learn the IPP lesson plan namely context-it’s the matter to be taught in manageable portions, Experience- is the activity to explain, illustrate, and expand the concept using audio-visual and current affairs, Reflection- connect to real life situation, Action- is to internalize, externalize, contemplate and transform practically, Evaluation that’s the product and process of teaching-learning. Henceforth, let’s get the ball rolling.

The main objective of a Blended course is to contextualize the lesson learned in the English class. -to have a positive transformation because of the topic they have discussed. -Encourage students to apply their knowledge in practical life. After successfully completing this course, a student will be able to: -Write Compare and Contrast essay. -Prepare a short report. - Write a movie review. -Analyze a text and give their personal opinion.

Important prompt: Instruction about the activities will be provided on the very first day of the class.

Day 1 is likely to write an essay on “Racial Discrimination and Humanity” after watching the speech made by Martin Luther King Jr. on YouTube. Day 2 will be visiting a community Religious shrine and collecting information about the area and the religion to prepare a short report about their visit. During Day 3 they write a film review on the movie Death of Salesman following the format of movie reviews from their book of grade 11, page no: 167. On Day 4 they will read the given text Othello and write a critical commentary.  Day 5 students Go solving the quiz section in Google classroom you will find a Google form where a set of questions are prepared based on the topic mentioned above and the assignments they have done so far. George Wilkerson a philosopher says if the students haven't learned, it’s said that the teacher has not taught it

This makes the end of the presentation in blended teaching and learning in English. Questions are welcomed from you parts if you do have any questions. It’s been a great day. Thank you, everyone!
