Follow the given format while writing a letter to the editor.

You should include:

  • Sender's Address: You need to write your address at the beginning of the letter.
  • Date: Mention the date of writing the letter.
  • Receiver's Designation and Address: Address the editor by their name, designation, company, and company's address.
  • Subject Statement: Write the central idea of your letter. Generally, this can be the main problem in a letter to the editor.
  • Salutation: Greet the recipient of this letter.
  • Problem: Mention the problem in the first body paragraph.
  • Problem's effect: Explain what sorts of discomfort the problem arises in your community, society, nation, or the world.
  • Needed Action: Suggest a few ideas to solve the problem.
  • Subscription and Sign: Write your name to end the letter. A signature is also preferred.
