To whom it may concern,
I am pleased to recommend Anuj, whom I taught in both 11th and 12th-grade English classes. In two years of his time in college, he has shown growth that I have hardly seen in my career of 2 years. He is a proven hardworking student, optimistic yet realistic to work on improving, and an independent learner yet social with peers and teachers. Such an energetic person enlivened the class by inspiring his peers. I assure you that he will show such discipline and diligence in college as well.
I remember him as a struggling student in early class whose improvement took off within a year, not letting his weakness impede his ambition of being a leader in Quantum Computing. I can't see how it will not happen, as he is already working on this mission by educating his juniors, community, and peers. Being from a society where English is hardly used, he had a rough start, but by challenging himself, he not only managed to improve his overall performance but also encouraged friends to take challenges. He was more proactive in later years, taking leadership roles and contributing to his community by organizing events such as public speaking to help students fight against their fear of using English in public. It's satisfying as a teacher to see a student helping his community's students, so they don't face the same problem he faced.
While most students simply accept what the teacher says, Anuj is observant, searches for a reason to validate, and does not hesitate to ask questions. He reaches the depth of subject matters, looking through different perspectives to put his analysis into the discussion. Due to this, he is an advantage to have on any team for group projects, where he entertains everyone with critical thinking and a sense of humor. By the end of the first year, he had shown academic success because of his enthusiasm and perseverance to study.
I had seen him at a low point when he lost his grandpa just a few days before his final test. While going through such a challenge, he was able to keep himself strong and perform well on the test. Studying in Kathmandu away from family and managing expenses through tutoring, he has shown the level of maturity necessary even while studying in the United States. He is a confident, motivated, grounded individual who does not hesitate to take challenges, learns from his mistakes, and strives hard to do his best. During his two years in college, he has never been found to have broken any college regulations but demonstrated moral principles. Spending most of his time in college, whether being in the library after late class or early morning in college labs, Anuj made college his home and faculty members his family. In college, Anuj is always found bonding with friends, laughing with teachers, assisting staff, and volunteering in college programs. He is a charismatic individual, well-liked by his peers and teachers.
I hope he can add colors to your college premises, which is why I recommend him. He will feel at home in your college as well. Please feel free to contact me with any further questions.
